Als ich heute morgen um halb 10 aufgestanden bin und aus dem Fenster sah, sah ich das:
When I woke up this morning and looked out of the window I saw this:
GRAU - kein Sonnenschein, kalt ... was macht man denn an einem solchen Tag, wenn man gut 6 Stunden allein totzuschlagen hat? Gut, dachte ich mir, was hast du denn noch nicht gemacht?
Und dann kam mir eine Idee - Cookies backen!!!!!!! :)
Was gibt es schöneres an einem solchen Tag als eine warme Tasse Tee, Kekse und ein gutes Buch? Eben - nicht viel. Vorallem nicht, wenn man allein zuhause ohne Auto rumsitzt und eigentlich nur ein Buch zur Auswahl hat haha
Gray - no sun and it was cold outside - so what is there to do on such a day when you have to keep your self busy for the next 6 hours?? I thought - well, what have I not done yet? And then I had an idea - I could make cookies!!! Is there anything better on a cloudy and cold day like this than a cup of warm tea, homemade cookies and a good book? Exactly - there are not many alternatives. Especially when your home alone without a car and there's only one good book lol.
Gesagt, getan, hab ich also Cathy's Kochbuch rausgeholt und mir alle Zutaten für Peanut Butter Cookies rausgesucht, weil ich weiß, dass die Cathy die echt gern mag.
So I grabbed Cathy's Cookbook and started working on the Peanut Butter Cookies I knew she would like!
Die ersten 12 Kekse waren dann reine Peanut Butter Cookies ohne irgendwas anderes.
The first 12 cookies I made where regular Peanut Butter Cookies - nothing fancy.
Beim zweiten Blech hab ich dann ein paar so Schokodrops drüber gestreut und beim dritten bin ich ganz erfinderisch geworden und hab nen Apfel in Ministückchen geschnitten
But the second dozen I sprinkled chocolate drops on them. And then I had another I think great idea - I cut an apple in tiny bits and pieces and mixed those in the plain dough.
und unter den Teig gemischt (das sind meine Lieblings-cookies geworden :) ).
So I had another 12 apple peanut butter cookies (I consider those to be my favorite ones ;) )
Dann hatte ich noch 5 einzelne Kekse auf dem 4. Blech, wo dann ja auch Äpfel drin warn, und da hab ich einfach noch ein paar Schokoladen Stückchen drüber gestreut. Ich muss sagen, dafür, dass das meine ersten Kekse waren ohne irgendne Backmischung, sind sie mir echt gut gelungen :) YUM

hach, es gibt wirklich nichts besseres als tee, kekse und ein gutes buch. hätte ich jetzt auch gerne...die kekse sehen lecker aus!
